There’s a brief window after a via negativa where one can catch orphaned grasps and intentions for the subtracted thing. It’s enlightening to see something so raw, and to see how quickly one is presented with a choice: add something new in place of the old or let the original graspy-intent dissolve into nothingness (and deal with the consequences).
